Newly launched crew change service for Suez

Meeting the needs of transit vessels

EGYPT: Launched at the beginning of November by the Suez Canal Authority (SCA), the Crew Change service to Canal-transiting vessels has reportedly been well-received by passing traffic.

Maritime agencies are able to make use of the online booking service on the SCA’s website to schedule operations. Following this, all the relevant procedures are completed to meet the requirements of the authorities and fees are calculated according to the duration of the operations.

This new service complies with the requirements of the marine crews change services supported by the initiatives of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) to provide faster, effortless and safer services.

Newly-built launches equipped with state-of-the-art maritime systems that comply with all the requirements of maritime safety have been deployed.  This has enabled the service to achieve accreditation from STASCO.

The service that is provided through the Suez Canal Yacht Marina at Ismailia to all types of vessels and marine units transiting through the Canal in both directions from the main locations: the Suez Canal Yacht Marina at Ismailia, Lake Timsah and the waiting area at the Great Bitter Lakes.

Operations can also include the provision of refuelling to vessels and marine units transiting through the Canal as well as all the logistical services and luggage transfer in coordination with maritime agencies.
