Published by More Maximum Media, Maritime Review Africa was launched in 2002 as a niche B2B print magazine for the maritime industries on the continent. Maritime Review Africa transitioned to become a predominantly digital publication in 2021 due to the impact of COVID-19 and difficulties associated with distribution. Most of our content is created for digital distribution, apart from an annual print magazine that aims to encapsulate the major issues facing the sectors at the time. We use ISSUU to publish our digital magazines as well as to host our back issues.

We aim to provide an holistic overview of what is happening within Africa’s blue economy as well as to offer informative insights and opinions on the issues facing the growth of the industry on the continent. Our coverage includes company news, event updates, opportunities, legislation and more – and we welcome submissions from the greater maritime community.

Most of the content we deliver is freely available, but premium content such as textbooks, tender alerts and reports are available to our partners and subscribers only. Our aim is to maintain as much free content as possible in order to promote the access to information of new entrants in the blue economy and foster dialogue.

Unfortunately our website was decommissioned by our previous hosting provider when they disappeared overnight in June 2023. As such we have rebuilt the content from this year and are adding older content on an ongoing basis.

Sadly this has resulted in the loss of statistics associated with article views and website traffic.
