The 4th Annual Southern Africa Oil and Gas Conference is a partnership between the Petroleum Agency SA (PASA) , the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy (now DMPR) and the South African Oil & Gas Alliance (SAOGA) under the theme: Enabling sustainable oil and gas developments for a diversified energy future

The 4th Annual Southern Africa Oil and Gas Conference is a partnership between the Petroleum Agency SA (PASA) , the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy (now DMPR) and the South African Oil & Gas Alliance (SAOGA). The Conference will focus on promoting the upstream oil & gas activities in the SADC region by providing a platform for a dialogue about the potential socio-economic benefits of developing the oil and gas resources in the SADC region.

The conference will be attended by government officials, the public, local and regional delegates from companies and SMMEs especially those owned by historically disadvantaged people who wish to establish and grow a presence in the upstream oil & gas industry. 

The conference will be a platform for dialogue on how the development of oil and gas resources in the region can be sustainably developed and the potential for these resources to contribute to resolving the electricity supply crisis and energy supply shortages in the region.
