MOROCCO: Speaking at the opening of the high-level preparatory workshop for the third United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC-3) recently, Morocco’s Secretary of State for Maritime Fisheries, Zakia Driouich, stressed the need for a strong, coordinated African voice at the discussions scheduled for June.

SEYCHELLES: Following a two-day visit to the Seychelles Ports Authority, the Research Institutes of Sweden (RISE) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at assisting the authority in developing Port Victoria into a leading green port in the region.

NAMIBIA: Two training workshops were held last month to foster marine conservation by equipping participants to respond to and effectively manage the strandings and entanglement of cetaceans.
