New Deputy CEO for fisheries authority

Seychelles Fisheries Authority appointment news

SEYCHELLES: Aubrey Lesperance has been appointed as the new Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Seychelles Fisheries Authority effective today.

Prior to this appointment, Lesperance served as the Head of Department for Aquaculture from 2020 and has played a pivotal role in shaping the country’s aquaculture sector.

His contributions include spearheading the establishment of Seychelles’ first comprehensive aquaculture legislative framework, encompassing the Seychelles Mariculture Master Plan, the Seychelles National Aquaculture Policy and the pioneering Aquaculture Regulations of 2020.

Currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Rhodes Business School, Lesperance also holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Enterprise Management from Rhodes Business School (Rhodes University, South Africa) and a Bachelor of Aquaculture from the University of Tasmania in Australia.
