Family Fun at boatica Cape Town: Activities for Kids and Adults Alike

If you are looking for a fun-filled, adrenaline-rushing weekend for the entire family then boatica, Cape Town is where you want to be. We cater to the entire family from adventure boat rides to Efoiling lessons and even a family cruise to take in the breathtaking views of Cape Town from the ocean.

On Saturday 28 October, we host the Great Optimist Race in collaboration with the Little Optimist Foundation. This race has proven to be a hit with grown-ups and kids alike as you watch amateur sailors navigate the waters in what can only be called a boat-sized sail yacht. The Dragon boat race, also on Saturday, offers a unique experience for families to see the beautifully designed, colourful dragon boats as they glide through the water.

Here are some of the family activities you can look forward to:

Catamaran Cruises:

See Table Mountain from the incredible perspective that mariners have had for four hundred years! An exciting adventure aboard Waterfront Charters's luxury catamaran Enigma: a family-friendly adventure that gives perfect views of Cape Town and its spectacular mountains as you cruise across Table Bay. With refreshments on hand from the cash bar and amazing vantage points – it’s an hour of maritime magic!

Adventure Boat Cruises:

Are you an adventurous family and want to get up close and personal with the wildlife that inhabits the Atlantic?  Our Adventure Cruise offers just that!  On board one of the RIB’s (rigid-hulled inflatable boats) you will get to experience the sea mist on your face while surrounded by the stunning beauty of the Cape Town coastline.

We look forward to welcoming your entire family to boatica, Cape Town 2024!
