Benin welcomes largest cruise liner

BENIN: Entering the Autonomous Port of Cotonou last week Friday, the Crystal Symphony was officially the largest cruise ship to enter the port and helped affirm the country’s growing appeal for international cruise passengers.

At 238 metres long and boasting exceptional capacity, this prestigious vessel is one of the flagships of the Crystal Cruises company, now owned by A&K Travel Group.

The arrival of the Crystal Symphony is part of a unique dynamic for cruise tourism in Benin, already marked by the recent calls of the Seabourn Sojourn and the SH Diana.

The Benin Tourism agency is proud to have supported this historic arrival of the Crystal Symphony, in close collaboration with the Autonomous Port of Cotonou and the African Tourism Agency (AAT), thus contributing to Benin's reputation as a high-end cruise destination and the growth of luxury tourism.

On board, passengers enjoy luxurious amenities: enlarged suites with handcrafted finishes, near-personalised service with nearly one crew member per passenger, top-flight gastronomy, not to mention a state-of-the-art spa and a prestigious casino.

During their stopover in Benin, passengers on the Crystal Symphony were able to discover some of the country's tourist gems. In Cotonou, Ouidah, and Ganvié, they explored a vibrant and vibrant heritage, featuring lakeside towns, history, traditions, and Beninese hospitality. These visits offered them an authentic immersion in the cultural and natural richness of Benin, a true World of Splendors.
